Financial Filters

Access Softek has been one of the premier developers for financial filter technology, which enables Quicken files to be read within Microsoft products. Our development work has led to smooth and reliable data conversion for Quicken files within Microsoft Money (including 2005), Quickbooks within Microsoft Office, and TurboTax files within TaxCut (a Block Financial product).

Data integration—our ability to reverse engineer any given file format and develop a suitable format converter represents one of our premier services. Since 1988 Microsoft has implemented our custom filter solutions within such products as Microsoft Office Suite, Windows CE, Publisher, Money, Greetings, Index Server, as well as a number of other applications.

We have recently leveraged our experience by developing conversions for the following projects:

  • Reverse-engineered Corel Draw files for conversion into WMF/EMF format for the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Created a Visio custom text extraction filter that integrated with the client's enterprise search application, across all supported platforms including Windows, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, etc. Conversion included character sets as well as text with full language suites utilizing single and double bytes as well as unicode.
