Access Softek OFX Server Authorized for Auto-launch on Symitar

Costs Savings Available to Over 500 Credit Unions

- August 13, 2008

BERKELEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Access Softek, Inc. announced today it has received Auto-launch authorization from Intuit and Microsoft for its OFX Server on the Symitar Episys core processing system. Access Softek now offers the only full-featured OFX server that can be installed on-site or run as an ASP service, features MFA, and doesn’t require expensive and time consuming Intuit and Microsoft certification prior to launch.

Auto-launch installation offers a significant advantage over typical OFX server certification, which can take up to six months and cost anywhere from 30 to 50 thousand dollars. Given the industry trend to upgrade from Web Connect to Direct Connect, Auto-launch of an Access Softek OFX server means that over 500 Symitar credit unions can now provide the best service to high-value members using Quicken®, MS® Money and QuickBooks®.

In a study conducted by the Washington State Employees Credit Union, members who took advantage of Direct Connect were over four times more profitable than the average member. Deployment of an OFX server is also one of the best ways to increase assets, reduce member churn, compete service-for-service with the financial giants and create a new channel of communication with members.

Shannon Doiron of Kinecta Federal Credit Union said, “We just finished a rush OFX conversion project with Access Softek. Their Auto-launch certification saved us a tremendous amount of time and money. They were great to work with and we are very pleased with the results.”

Chris Doner, CEO of Access Softek, said, “Auto-launch certification from Intuit and Microsoft is strong support of our mission of providing affordable cutting-edge online banking products and services to our clients.”
